2023 Highlights of ASH in North America Venous Thromboembolism/Anticoagulation and Its Reversal

Session Description

Dr. Alex Spyropoulos will deliver a case-based presentation of “How I Treat” Venous Thromboembolism/Anticoagulation and its reversal. He will present a comprehensive review of the evidence of anticoagulation in pregnant women with inherited thrombophilia and recurrent miscarriage. This presentation will include a review of the use of oral anticoagulants in the treatment of catheter related thrombosis in patients with cancer, the use of novel anticoagulant (FXI inhibitors) in the prevention of catheter related thrombosis and other future potential applications, and the early dynamics of C-reactive protein and its correlation in predicting risk of venous thromboembolism in patients with cancer treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
