Session Description
Dr. Ravindra Sarode will deliver a case-based presentation of “How I Treat” transfusion medicine and apheresis. She will present a comprehensive review of the newer treatment options for autoimmune hemolytic anemias. The presentation will include a review of the challenges of transfusing blood in autoimmune hemolytic anemias, a summary of management of platelet refractoriness, and a discussion of the potential benefits of granulocyte transfusion.
