DLBclass: a probabilistic molecular classifier to guide clinical investigation and practice in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

Short name: AJCA62025
Course start date: 07/12/2025
Course end date: 07/12/2026

Description

Dr. Chapuy’s team developed and validated a 5-subtype genetic classification (C1–C5) of the most common form of lymphoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and developed a probabilistic classifier, DLBclass. DLBclass is an inclusive taxonomy that achieved up to 98% accuracy in high-confidence cases and enables reliable, genomics-based patient stratification for trials and treatment.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain insights into the development and validation of the neural network-based molecular classifier, DLBclass.
  • Understand how the molecular classification of DLBCL into five genetic subtypes (C1–C5) informs prognosis, treatment targets, and immune evasion mechanisms.
