Program Description
Myelofibrosis (MF) is a rare and chronic bone marrow disorder characterized by the progressive replacement of normal bone marrow tissue with fibrous scar tissue. This fibrosis scar tissue disrupts the normal production of blood cells in the bone marrow, leading to various complications. This activity will assist clinicians in determining the risk for patients with MF. Learners will gain a greater understanding of the impact of this condition on patients’ quality of life.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the learners should be able to:
- Describe the burden of disease and impact on quality of life for patients with MF and as a consequence of current treatments
- Identify current and future goals for managing MF based on therapeutic targets for improved overall survival
